Get a clue Microsoft and make it easy for us to use your stuff. Go to %programdata%\Microsoft\Windows\ Take ownership of the Start Menu Folder. Got my Desktop Icon back...thanks.

I finally got the desktop tile back, it had frustrated me forever on my laptop! Basavaraj really..i ws having so much trouble without that "DESKTOP" tile now its totally solved thanks a lot...... I had no idea how to get to my desktop, but once I used the helpful Google app (thank you), I was able to get it back. This should clear the desktop save the background.
